Cab Pack "VX30" is an impulse response (IR) collection based on a vintage Vox™ AC30 combo from the 60s with highly sought after speakers with Pulsonic cones (same cones as in pre-Rola Greenback speakers). This is the sound of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Queen, U2, Deep Purple and many more. The pack comes with 8 mics: Shure™ SM57, Shure™ SM7B, Shure™ SM58, Royer™ R121, Sennheiser™ e906, Sennheiser™ MD421, Beyerdynamic™ M160 and Neumann™ KM184 with 5 brightness variations for each microphone and 6 real life multi-mic mixes.

Whenever people ask me about when I'm going to release a pack of combo amps I always give the boring answer "when I find a good one I'll make a pack". Generally speaking I think modern speakers sound the best in big boxes but there's a place, sound and era in music history where combo amps ruled the world. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, U2... the list goes on. I've been looking for that holy grail combo amp for quite some time and on paper it's that Vox phase where it's got the same Pulsonic cones that you'll find on the sought after "pre-Rola" Greenbacks. So these are the Alnico Vox speakers with that iconic Pulsonic tone that never sounds harsh. The end result is a super warm and creamy sound with a controlled low end. These can handle all sorts of distortion and they'll hold together - very unique IR's.

Very nice. I just put ML-VX30-7B-A into one of my main Class A presets.
So happy to hear that - the structure for these newer packs is a bit different. The A mic positions are the darkest positions and from A-B-C-D-E it gets brighter. That 7B has quickly become my favorite mic to be used on its own. That or the 57. :)
