Volume Pedal

Newb here with XL+ and MFC101.
Trying to figure out how to set up my Mission EP1 as a volume pedal into pedal 1 of the MFC101.
It's preconfigured to be post gain, I want it to be pre gain, to function as the volume knob on my guitar.
I'd like to have it set up in this way globally.
Are there any tutorials that address this?

On the MFC set XP 1 to cc# 10. Press Edit--> Midi --> Page left 2x --> Parameter right --> Decr --> Save

as described above, I set MIDI CC# 10 to an XP
this means it controls the input level [before the signal gets to the grid]
the up side is that you do not need to add a Vol block on the grid, and it works on all presets without having to configure them

Cool, thanks. I used this method, pretty simple. Saw a KKMMusic youtube video that described it.
