This is something I love to do: taking a vocal melody and playing it on the guitar. It's a great exercise, it forces you to pay much more attention to bends, intonation and most importantly feel and expressiveness, all things often overlooked by many guitarists.
This is my favorite song by Italian singer Mia Martini, who's probably unknown to most of you guys; I strongly suggest you to watch some of her old performances, she really had a phenomenal voice and even to this day remains the best female Italian singer imo. She sadly passed away in 1995
I filmed this some months ago (originally uploaded this on Facebook), but I think I'm pretty sure I've used the HBE model with no OD in front, some stereo tape delay and hall reverb
