We also included a folder named "Best of 5" , which contains a personal selection of our favorite IRs from those cabs to make it it a lot easier to dial in the cab packs.

BTW: 4 IRs from the 1968Pin and the MF280 cab are contained in the stock cab section of the new AxeFx III. ;-)

The cab pack is available for € 99,- on our online store.

I see that a lot of these cabs are the same cabs previously captured by Cabir.eu. What sets your IRs apart?

When we shot the IRs in the German Marshall Museum in 2015, we were part of the cabir.eu-team. Tom Stubics, the man behind the cabir.eu/Valhallir.at capturing technique , who shot EVERY single IR of those cab packs, was not satisfied with the processing and
and the way things turned out internally. We parted, and Tom & me founded Valhallir.at in 2016. But as huge Marshall-Fan, Tom always wanted to release the cab packs as Valhallir.at.

My idea was, if we ever sell those IRs with Valhallir.at, we would have to add the existing cab packs with additional mikes and cabs.

We took the best cab packs like the Pin68, the MF280, the CB71 and the Jimi and reshot them with more SM7B & C414 IRs, and AKG D-202,sE4400a, Neumann U87ai, sE VR1 and Neve Design RNR1 Ribbons.
And we added the "White AX" and the 1960TV cab pack.
The other cabs from the 2015 shooting are still quite good, but IMHO not interesting enough for us to reshoot, so we just added them with the new processing. We also didn't include any mixes at all.

So, if you are already using the cabir.eu packs (except the White AX and the 1960TV cab pack) and you are not interested in how the cabs sound with an sE4400a, AKG D-202, VR1, RNR1, U87 or more (and better) shots from SM7B's, you may not "need" them. ;-) because you won't hear any difference between the cabir.eu-version and the re-processed version from Valhallir.at, when it comes to the shots from 2015.

But the IRs with the new mikes are really game changers. In the new AxeFXIII there are some IRs from the Britain's Finest pack.

But you could ask Devin Townsend, how much he loves them. ;-)

Thanks for the clarification Andy. I was perusing your website and I saw it was mentioned that many of your team had previously been involved in Cabir.eu. I was curious to know how you all were related. Your explanation was helpful!

I’ll definitely check out some of your IRs!

Thanks!
Kevin

Another question:

Does the pack "The Complete Edition" (€ 99,00) also includes the VH Britain's Finest (€ 99,00)?
The description of The Complete Edition says: "The complete collection from Valhallir.at"

No, the Complete Edition includes the first 12 cab packs from Valhallir.at. We included it, when we started Valhallir.at in Dec 2016. There will be a Complete Edition 2 to the end of 2018, which will include the other cabs.

The Britain's Finest Pack, the Mesa's, the Fry Fatcab, the Hiwatt and the Orange are sold separately.

OK. Thank you for the info. I think that I will initially go for the Britain's and the Hiwatt.

Would you be sharing the presets used for the demos with the buyers? :)

Take a look at Marco Fanton's Homepage. He is one of our betatesters and also selling his presets together with selected IRs from our product range.
At the moment we are not into presets (as it's really a tough thing to create them suitable for all kinds of guitars), but I can highly recommend Marco's presets - even if that means that you just buy them with a few Valhallir.at-IRs from his site (and not the whole cab pack from us)
But some of the presets that are made from other players than Marco can be checked without problems. Just pm me, which presets you'd like to get!
