v9 very quick clips, lots of them!

Ok so someone asked for some v9 clips using a few amps and some others seem to be digging my last few clips so here goes....

All clips are direct to PC with no post fx. Guitar is my Les Paul 59 reissue. All tones ere created in the same patch on the fly and use the same Redwirez cab (I think it's one of Scott's recipes, so thanks for that!). Most clips are Amp -> Cab -> Rev although one has a drive (SuperOD) and a couple of the heavier sounds have a GEQ after the cab to boost low and high whilst cutting the mids (MKIIC+ for eg). That's about it.

Anyway thanks to Cliff for this great update, I love it!

Thank you! Just what I been looking for to help me make the decision to buy an AxeFx. Even using the same guitar as me (well mine's an R8 but close enough). Thanks again xpenno.

Hey Cliff, you here that, looks like you owe me the Silver Jub model ;) Only joking!

marshall2553, I love my AxeFX, it takes some work to get exactly where you want it but combined with the Redwirez IRs and this update it's getting MUCH easier!

You know, a Jubilee model would a nice addition. That's where my username came from :D. I've owned a few of Jubilee's but sadly they're gone now. I imagine the JCM800 model with a drive block in front comes pretty close though.

Your "very quick clips" are the BEST that I've heard to date on this forum.

I'm not an owner/user and I was dying to hear some authentic amp clips and not those same old highly processed 80s tones that I've heard so often out of the AxeFX.

Fantastic clips that clearly demonstrate amp tone and dynamics. This is what I was waiting for.Thank you!!

Which Red Wirez cabs did you mix?

Hi Spence, I was wondering which one you used as well.
I've bought the Bigbox Series but really haven't had that much time to try them.

Cheers

Thanks for the clips but i found them sounding very bright. Does it comes from the IR in your opinion?

That can be on purpose. In case of a full rock band mix that amount of brightness can be necessary.

Edit:
Wow where did that yellow underline come from?

Wow thanks for the great feedback guys much appreciated :D

The IR was created using Scott's Marshall mix settings from the following thread

http://www.fractalaudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=10123

I would recommend that everyone interested in creating mixes starts with this thread, it gave me a great insight into relating IR mixing to real world cab mic'ing.

Thanks again, if I get time tonight I might do a couple more :)

Cheers

Hi bmi,

in fact the IR is quite dark sounding to me, I cranked the treble and presance on a few of the clips to try and work with this, so this may be what you are hearing? I did this recording in around 20 mins for all takes, I didn't pay too much attention to detail, everything is pretty raw.

Thanks

Spence
