V11 Observations

Upgraded with no problem. Per the release notes it states not to use the Axe from panel when connected to USB. So while trying out the new firmware I would make changes from Axe Edit. I noticed that when bypassing an effect with the new spacebar option the light on the MFC does not change. Normal or a bug? Also, when trying to turn on the boost switch in Axe Edit it will not switch. My guess is because it is connected to an external switch. When I press the external switch, the boost goes on and off and shows on and off in Axe Edit. Normal or a bug?

Thanks,

Roger

The MFC and editor do not communicate. Normal. The boost on/off sounds like it might be a bug and you should report it in the bug section for the editor.

I don't have a Mac, so am not able to help you. I'd contact support or post in the bug section of the editor.

I'm on a MacBook Pro 10.8.4 and it all worked fine for me. I installed FW 11, then Axe Edit. Didn't even delete old Axe Edit prior to install. Fired up Axe Edit and there was my patch. I had installed the newer USB driver already. One thing I've noticed sometimes as an issue is with using a usb hub vs direct into Macbook. Mostly my hub has worked fine with the Axe, but once in a while it seems like the Axe wants to be plugged direct.

Other than that, no ideas as mine's working on the same setup.

10.6.8
FW11
AE3
USB driver v167

Works fine. I had problems when 168 came out, so i reinstalled 167. Check your driver if you have problems. Could be that.
I also got time out with FW11b. No problem since FW11rc

...on Mac what you also should do from time to time..
boot from a other System or Partition... on 10.8 hold alt down while you start up
choose recovery... then use Disk Utility and do Repair Permissions & Repair Drive.
It solves a lot of Problems...
hope this helps everyone who have issues with Axe Edit 3 & Mac
