Using MFC101 for Axe FX II and midi controlled amp

Hey guys,

I'm looking to use my MFC101 to control my Axe FX II along with a Mesa TC50 amp. Can I use the fastlink to connect the two and still have midi signals be sent to the amp or do I have to connect it via midi? Also, if I connect via midi, do I lose the ability to have the built in tuner in the MFC?

One additional question, when I setup the MFC, do I set it up in the "Axe FX II" global setting or set it up as a "midi" global setting since I will be setting midi signals in the presets and some of the IAs.
 
Axe-FX Mode should match your Axe-FX model if you want tuner and IA state sync. This doesn't affect what a preset can send on other MIDI channels.

IAs being used for the TC50 should have Axe-FX function set to "none".

You’re still controlling an axe-fx so keep it set to Axe.

Set the General midi message of each switch as needed.
