I was wondering if there was a way to set up the MFC as a... well, "basic" MIDI controller. I'm sadly not as familiar with MIDI terminology and specifics as I would like to be. But essentially, some software (like "Transcribe!", or a DAW) allow MIDI controllers to send commands that are then used within the software. I'm having some trouble with setting it up, however; for instance, I'll attempt to program switch 1 to start/stop playback, and what happens is it sends the same command every 1-2 seconds. There's another program called MIDIKey2Key that allows MIDI commands to function as keyboard shortcuts; the problem is the same, where pressing a switch on the MFC causes the MIDI signal to be sent repeatedly.
I'm running off of the power supply alongside a MIDI-USB cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
