USB hub and the Axe

I have Cablab on one machine and Axe Edit on another (if I could have both on the same machine I would)
Is there any reason not to use a hub to make my life easier patching whichever machine I need to be using?
 
I'm not sure how USB hubs behave if you have more than one host controller (= computer) connected to them. I'm pretty sure that won't work. USB hubs are designed to connect multiple slaves to one host, not multiple hosts to one slave.


Tbh, I only had terrible experiences with USB hubs, especially when doing firmware updates.
