Not a Bug USB buffer size with Reaper

Just got my Fm3 and I'm using it with Reaper as the USB device.
Everytime I change the buffer size it always revert back to 8 samples. This happens if it set it in reaper or if I set in the Fractal icon.
I've tried all the usual settings such as forcing and ignoring asio resets etc.

I tried another daw Sonar and didn't have any problems.
 
I've come from Ax8 so all my sessions are automatically set to 48 khz. Set at project level.
I even set it to force the sample rate
I reinstalled reaper to make sure newest version but no luck
 
Just to say that I managed to fix this as I bought another asio device that was having the same issue so I ran the reaper configuration restore and it solved the problem for the fm3 and my other unit
