Hi guys im finally goin to update my axe fx from firm 4 ya i know be easy on me to quantum what will i have to do ive read some nightmare stuff also what updates will i have to do to mfc 101 pedal i know ill have to tweak settings my patches should stay the same right any and all info will be appreciated, thanks

I don't think anyone can give you recommendations for that beyond: just update, then do a firmware reset. Be prepared to dial in all your presets from scratch.
 
You better come back and tell us what you think! I don't think anyone else on here has compared plugging their guitar into a gramophone player with plugging into a Mesa....

Btw, how about a "before and after" recording? Would be the ultimate opportunity to do that... and I'm curious to see how far the Axe has really come in the last years (ignoring all the cork sniffers that pretend they can hear all the subtle changes...).
