updating firmware

Hi guys, My axe fx will be here any minute now, I've downloaded the latest firmware and Axe-edit.
As I'm scanning through the website for news I see in big letters:

"Warning: Do not update firmware using an RME FireFace 800 MIDI adapter. A known issue with this adapter may render your unit inoperable. "

I'm using a RME Fireface 400. Does it also fry the Axe-FX 2?
Image me, waiting for the axe fx 2, getting it home, updating it's firmware and BOOM!

you could just use a usb cable to your computer.... any printer usb cable works.

Ah ok, So I can just plug the USB cable in the Axe FX 2 and update through that?

Yes...very easy to do via USB using Axe Edit.

Alright, This sounded like a very noobish question, but I read the Axe Wiki, and I could only find info that said that I could update through normal Midi. Not Midi over usb.
But hey, I thought that there had to be an easier way.
