Wish Update firmware with axe II usb and a midi cable for MFC

I sold my midi interface with my ultra.I thought now with the usb you could update the mfc thru the II.Computer to axe II to mfc using a midi or cat5 to the mfc.What a complete bummer.Please tell me it will happen someday.

Not going to happen. The bootloader (the software that triggers the firmware) cannot be triggered via the CAT-5 port, only via MIDI IN.
Go buy a cheap 5-pin midi cable and connect it from Axe-II MIDI OUT to MFC MIDI IN.
Set Axe to USB mode, and MIDI THRU to On and upgrade from computer.

I did not know I could do it that way.How would I load the update,from axe edit?

The mfc says "error 18". I powered it up holding #1 .I still am not sure how to update it.Anyone,Please.
