The shaft on those pots are not long enough for EB pedals. In the post he said he used them in a crybaby style enclosure.

To anyone doing this mod, the wiring is as follows as per @mr_fender:

The center lug goes to the Tip connector of the TRS jack. If the shaft is facing away from you with the lugs pointed up, the left lug goes to the Sleeve connector, the center lug goes to the Tip connector, and the right lug goes to the Ring connector.
