Wish Tuner input mute should not mute both inputs 1 and 2 simultaneously

Apparently, the "input mute" option on the tuner kills the input for both In 1 and In 2. This renders the effects loop for delays and reverbs useless as it kills effects tails when the tuner is engaged. I was looking forward to trying out the new "heel down tuner engage" feature but any time I bring my volume pedal down, like when doing volume swells, my external reverb pedal gets chopped off.

The input mute should have the option of only being tied to the input source that's selected for the tuner. If I have Input 1 selected for the tuner source, then only Input 1 should be muted; not Input 2 also.

That would be great to be able to select which inputs are muted!
My use case is that the FM3 is used as mixer for my IEMs (Input 2 gets the rest of the band / Ouput2 goes to the IEM).
When tuning between songs I can't hear what's happening with the rest of the band. Very easy to miss an intro
