Hi all. I finally decided to try and make an IR of my Voodoo Amps 4x12 cabinet loaded with Mojotone BV25M speakers (greenback clones), mic'd with a heil pr30. I used Vox Deconvolver to create the test tone and imported the tone into Sonar X1. I then ran the tone into a Carvin DCM200L power amp into my speaker cab. The Heil PR30 was on axis with the speaker, pointed at the cone about 1 inch away from the edge of the dust cap, and about 0.5 inch away from the grill cloth. The PR30 was run through an FMR Really Nice Preamp and back into Sonar X1. Deconvolver was used to make the IR wav, and Albert A's utility was used to make the final AXE FX IR.
Let me know what you think. Overall, I think it sounds decent, maybe a little dark. I may make another one with the mic pointed a bit closer to the dust cap.
