TRS cables

There's the whole talk about getting high quality guitar instrument cables. But when it comes to TRS cables, does what type of grade of cable or plugs matter? I'm thinking it doesn't as it doesn't transmit audio signal. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The reason I ask this is that I'm looking at purchasing a TRS cable to connect my Boss FV-500L expression pedal to my Rocktron XChange Midi switcher. So is there any need for a high quality one? I'm thinking durability is the main factor that I should be looking at.

Any recommendations? Probably looking at a 1' patch TRS cable with both angled ends.

I just use homebuilt ones and they work fine. I'm connecting two expression pedals to an All Access. They don't carry audio, just very low speed pedal position information (a DC voltage I'm guessing.)

Agreed... just build your own. Grab some Canare or Mogami cable and some Neutrik or Switchcraft connectors.
Most of the cost of a cable is labor and retailer profit so the cost difference between junk and good components is pretty small.
