Transition of one preset to another without the buzz kill.

Sometimes we will lead off a song with some noodling using the lush sounds of one of the ambient presets. We use Showbuddy software for lights and preset changes. As we transition between the ambient intro into the song body there is a noticeable gap when the preset changes. Not a time gap but the cutting off of the ambience.

Is there a way with the hold feature, or maybe a looper, internal or external, or another device that could let that ambient sound carry over AFTER the preset has changed for the body of the song. Just enough to kill the gap?

How about using an ambient scene for the noodling, and using a Scene Midi block to trigger Showbuddy when you change to the song scene?

Thanks for the ideas. We've had spillover turned on all along so I'm guessing we're not meeting some of the criteria (matching blocks, matching settings, etc.) for spillover to work between presets. Also looks like several blocks won't work between presets regarding spillover. Bandmate used to have a Strymon that you could hold the button and the ambience would carry over.

As far as I know spill over between presets isn’t possible. Only within a preset between scenes. There are some threads and an explanation by FAS about this somewhere on the forum.
