Tone Matching Help

Just curious on how to use the tone matching feature of the unit?
Do I have to have the exact amps, and gear that the artist or person I'd like to tone match, in order for it to work properly?
OR can I take a song and import it into the AxeFX and have the unit detect the necessary settings for the tone match to take place? Just wondering, I've been watching and reading some stuff on it, and wanted to know from the people who use the unit more than myself.. :)
Would like to tone match quite a bit of stuff if the possibility was there to import songs into the unit, and let it do it's thing...
 
i've seen that video in the past. However, I was just wondering if I can import an audio file into the program or device, and have it tone match by itself?
 
you need to let the axe fx "listen" to the audio over USB. Or with the line in (have not tried that)
Then play your guitar.. and press match.

You need to do this. Try it,it`s easy
