Tone match of "Smart" by Helmet

I did a tone match of the beginning of "Smart" by Helmet.

I don't know exactly what Page Hamilton was using there but it is probably a VHT Pitbull- and probably layered a bit as well.

First bit of the file is a snippet of the original then my tone match.

Nice! Pretty close! Big Helmet fan and that is one of my favorite tunes from them. It sounds like you are tuned standard drop D? You might be able to get even closer by matching Page's tuning (I think it's C,G,C,F,A,D for most of his more recent stuff).

Cheers- yeah it isn't as close as the PT50 I did but I guess that is down to the lack of the right cab IR and the undoubted layering Page does in the studio.

Yes just in drop D.
I'd like to have tuned down to C but my poor Tom Anderson Cobra would struggle with that as it is Gibson scale.
