Somebody sent me a PM asking about Tone Czar expression pedals, and I wanted to answer publicly in case anyone else had similar questions. I haven't check whether this material has already been gone over, but it won't hurt to say it again.

Yes, I have four of them. Ed is awesome, and the pedals work great.

He modded some pedals I had already bought, but he pointed out that it's not a huge savings in money, because of the cost of shipping the pedals to him. You should ask him if he still does it.

Somebody should add a table to the Wiki with the expression pedal conventions. Here's a start:
Convention 1:
Tip = Hot, Ring = Wiper, Shield = Ground
Units: AxeFx, MFC101 (forthcoming), AllAccess
Convention 2:
Tip = Wiper, Ring = Hot, Shield = Ground
Units: GCPro, FX1
(Correct me if I have it backwards!)
Ed can set up the pedal for either convention, or perhaps he can add a switch -- you should ask.
Since I have both the AxeFx and the FX1, my solution was to modify a cable to reverse tip and ring.
> any advise ??? what's your experience with them ???
Ed is awesome, the pedal works great. Go for it. You could wait and see what Cliff recommends for use with the MFC101, but I recommend the Tone Czar pedal.
