This adds a status led to your expression pedal that has a toe switch for keeping track of the on/off status. It doesn't need a battery it just takes power from the switch jacks. So if you have the toe-switch plugged into SW1/2, and set up in the MFC as XS1, you can use switch 2 to power the led. It's a 5v feed, so no resistors are required, just an LED and a stereo jack socket and a DPDT footswitch. Wiring is very simple.
One caveat is that because the led is in the path of sw2, the voltage drop means the MFC never sees the switch as closing as it only sees 2-3v combing back instead of the full 5. I had hoped it could be used to do stuff like activate a drive or fuzz along with the wah, but even setting the on value in the midi settings as low as 1 still had no effect.
