Time to upgrade my floor monitor. Suggestions?

I currently use an RCF ART 722A. I like the shape, sound and when I have my feet all over it, it stands up to the abuse. I've looked at the CLR's and I don't think that I like the shape. They look a little.... well narrow in length. I'm sure they sound awesome, but they look delicate and wouldn't appreciate me and my size 9's all over them night after night.

Is they a comparative powered wedge that sounds as good or better than the CLR, but still has the longer shape of the RCF?

I'm thinking that £1200/1500 is my limit.

how about the fabled RCF NX12SMA?

what do you actually want to "upgrade"? is something missing from the 722a?
 
well the NX is a permanent wedge shape at the "correct" angle for me. it's pretty dang flat response, so it shouldn't have too much bass. the grill completely covers the coax stuff, so no picks eaten!
