My live set up is Guitar-> Line 6 Digital wireless-> Axe FX2 out 2-> FX Return of Peavey 5150 head(using the power amp only) to Peavey 4x12 cab loaded with 2 Sheffields and 2 V30's. Out 1 of the Axe FX 2 goes to the FOH.
Here's my question that needs and EQ genius answer:
I want to put an EQ block just before the loop going to out 2 that feeds my poweramp to tweak to compensate for the 6L6 tubes in my head on my EL34 presets like my plexi tones etc. In otherwords I want to dial out the 6L6-ness of my poweramp for certain patches for out 2 only. I figure there has to be some frequencies I can cut and 1 or 2 I can boost to get me closer to the tone that my mind associates with EL34 tubes. I assume it would involve cutting some low frequencies and some higher frequencies while boosting some specific mids.
Like I said this is something I want to apply only to the out going to my amp not the direct out. Thank you to anyone that can offer some help.
