The latest offering from my Sheer Velocity alter ego.
No less abrasive, absurdist and self-indulgent than usual. Enjoy if you dare!
I LOVE hearing that. Thanks!Immediately reminds me of Zappa.
From Jethro Tull? Never listened to him much but I know he's a great muso. Thanks!Like it a lot. Agree with Yek too.
Your guitar playing also reminds me of Martin Barre a lot. Bravo!
Definitely, "one-up'd" jazz phrasing. Great stuff.
That is just SICK man
Great playing and composing too....!!!

Many thanks!Outstandig reminds me on Frank Zappa with Steve Vai in the bandand as a matter of fact it did not hurt....very pleasant playing and tone.
Yeah I get that a lot too. No complaints about the comparison. Thanks!I can hear a touch of the Zappa others have mentioned, but to me this sounds more like it would have been on Mr Vai's Flex-Able album than a Zappa album.
Thanks a lot - not a jazzer but thanks anyway!
Thanks a lot - I do not mind jazz comparisons, don't get me wrong. I just don't want anyone to think I claim to be a jazzer (I've never studied it and have absolutely no repertoire!) but you're right, the 'outside', quasi-atonal stuff is indebted to jazz, at least in spirit. I consider myself a rock (albeit rock with a twist) guitarist through and through.Maybe the wrong genre' to the, "T" for a comparison, but any time I hear, "whacked" chromatic licks as you've displayed incredibly, jazz influence always comes to mind for me. Maybe jazz/fusion would be a better comparison due to the drive tones. Nonetheless... incredible playing, man.
Definite, "artist page" material, Cliff.![]()
