Third bar on “Axe-FX III” blue light logo dimmer?

Hi, just took a look at instagram pics by Misha Mansoor, and some youtube videos from Marc Day, and noticed that on every pics the logo shows a thirds bar with dimmer blue light. Is that just a camera effect or is it something that was on the prototypes and plan to fix for production units?

Shhhhh. You have discovered the secret. It is really just an Axe FX II with a third line painted on it.

Probably an indicator for the mode it's in. Axe I, II or III mode.

I think in III mode, flames shoot out the side.

It’s not that funny. I was used to flawless Fractal unit, as for Eventide stuff.

The 3rd I autodims in sync with the delay times like the old strobe lights.
That way the drummer can visually adjust their timing to the guitarists, finally...

apparently steve Vai unit doesn’t have the problem. So definitely something to check when unboxing

It's a slight logo alteration to avoid being sued by Adidas.

My guess would be that the light is at a distance from the front panel, so looking at it from the side makes the edge darker, because of perspective.
I'm more concerned that I consider green to be the signature color of the axe, not blue.
Now, the axe has many colors and no main theme, I liked it more when axe was mainly green, with a rare case of reds for warnings lol.

O man. This is a major issue for me. There's no way I can use this unit until that's corrected. Hopefully, by the time my name comes up on the wait list it will be resolved otherwise, I'll have to stick with my AxeII.

Haha! The fact that they didnt make the logo green bugs me a lot more than I would like to admit. I love green!

I have it on good authority that the "melt faces" icon will replace it whenever you tickle the reds...

I need to make sure every rack mount screw had the slots exactly parallel. There is no way I could get past slightly different degrees of illumination because whenever I play my guitar I need to stare at the logo. Audiences and band mates might think it’s odd, what can I say, I expect and demand perfection.....

So fractal better stop production and fix this massive issue, my guitar simply won’t sound right coming from a unit that isnt perfectly illuminated.

Then again, my non-ocd self actually wishes the logo could be turned off as I think it’s kind of distracting.

A new algorithm heuristically judges your guitar playing. If you suck, the logo elegantly fades out.

Honestly, the front panel reminds me of those flexible plastic front panels like on the old ADA MP1. Those "bubble-out" or bend over time.
