The ultra still has some life in it yet

There is next to no activity in the old ultra section so here is how cool the HBE can sound if you spend the time, I also own a 2xl plus on it's way.. but for me the old HBE sounded amazing, your thoughts?

Nothing wrong with the older stuff, still sounds great, sounded great when I had mine. If you like to tweak get the newer one, if you found your sound stay with the ultra. or have both

i am hoping the new HBE is as good, a lot of vids i am hearing the top freq of it sound very harsh and plastic.... fingers crossed

Conflict - I still have my Ultra, but for me (as we all know our ears and what we like are different), the HBE in my II smokes my Ultra. But, as was said earlier, nothing wrong if you've found your tone in the Ultra. Good luck with the XL plus.
