Instant BALLS!!!

Add this puppy between your AMP and CAB for instant balls on any patch.

Credit goes to Scott Peterson

Enjoy

:D

;)
i played around with this today and thought it was pretty cool. one possible use might be if you switch between humbuckers and single coils using the same patch. would be great for fattening up a strat.

Since the people that have made these great patches are in this thread ,may I ask how I get them into my Ultra?

ADA Chorus (source: javajunkie made it for me)
Flanger
In series (or parallel with 100% wet), post cabinet

I use this for that light, moving chorus sound when covering Duran Duran tunes like Rio.

With a slightly dirty amp you can get a good 80's-style pop-rock thing going.

Lexicon LXP-1 Hall B Reverb, Decay at noon Delay at 9 o'clock.

One of my favourite reverbs. The LXP-1 was used by a few jazz guitarist (Sco, Rosenwinkel, Frisell) before their amps so you could try that.

The mix is set too high, but I trust you'll tweak that to taste anyway...

Enjoy,

Jens

UAD Pultec Hi End Sweetener

PEQ - series - post amp
"16k Attenuation 5"
this also cuts some very low frequencies ~20Hz and adds a little bump (1dB) @ 180Hz, which seems to be the nature of the Pultec, since I ony dialed in the HiShelf

Snap!!!

studio compressor - series - pre or post amp

you should aim for 3 - 10dBs of gain reduction

great to get that ultra snappy clean sound (try it in front of a Brownface!)
or at the last block with moderate gain reduction to tighten things up a bit.

Surfy Spring Tone

PEQ for parallel reverb - post reverb - reverb and PEQ pre amp

for a more lofi, trashy spring reverb tone

version II is a little more drastic than I (bands 1 & 5 set to 'blocking' instead of 'shelving', adjusted the frequencies to get the same cutoff frequencies)

Green Bullet Mic - Shure Model 520D

PEQ - in series - place anywhere, for exsample post cab
for typical blues harp type sounds, place in front of Deluxe, Blues Junior etc.

should also be cool in a parallel delay setup with send & return as a delay eq, or for Reverend Horton Heat vocal sounds (in front of a distortion tube pre) or generally for radio-type 'bridge' sound in otherwise big & wide productions.
