I’ve appreciated this person’s breakdown of the episodes. Here is the one for ep. 6.

I liked it. I Agree that Giladriel is a bit of an angry youth, but like also said maybe she will change into what was portrayed on LOR movies over then next 1000 or whatever number of years. Elrond is also not exactly consistent with LOR, but also like his portrayal. It’s better than the Hobbit movies.
I‘ve read and seen LOR and Hobbit, but never gone deeper.

I read all of Tolkien’s books, and watched all the movies. And, like every movie adaptation of a book, there are liberties taken and shortcuts. They can’t make a perfect version because someone is always going to complain for whatever reason.

I enjoy this series. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good-enough reminder of the books and multiple times reading them that I am happy.
