The intro to the song Farewell to Kings works surprisingly well as 8-bit Nintendo music. It sounded like a Zelda game.

The bass riff at the start of Cygnus X-1 sounded like the underground music in Super Mario

A Farewell to Kings was of my favorite albums as a kid. This plus the 8-bit synth is a double shot of nostalgia. Thanks for the smile.

That is exactly how I heard my first MIDI backing tracks, back in 1990 when I got my Soundblaster 1.0

It had an amazing 11 voice Yamaha FM Synthesizer

Ha ha - I remember getting my Commodore VIC-20 to play the Farewell To Kings intro. The manual had all the magic numbers listed to convert music to audio chip values, and I had a copy of the Rush song book.
