Never tried this preset/model before but it worked great....really shocked at how good the JC120 sounds with the old Gretsch. Not really a chord melody thing, working on a free time accompaniment for The Christmas Song for our Christmas services this week.

The Silver Sky is sweet, I just like the more modern feel of the Schecter. I actually like the pups better as well.

yeah, it's all preference...if you want a great take on a vintage strat hard to beat the SS.

could be...that preset has a compressor in it as well. I just pulled it up and played.

I tried one in the store where I bought my used EJ strat. YMMV

Yeah, they are great guitars....just not my vibe. I like bigger frets and a more modern radius.
