The Axe-Fx does the 80's Part 2

In my 80's tribute band we try to get the tones as close as possible to the recordings so there's lots of back and forth with the original recording. I just had to re-tweak this one since upgrading to FW11 though.

This one is for The Outfield's "Your Love". You'll want to turn on the PITCH block for the harmony part which sounds rad when another guitar is behind it. This is as close as I've been able to get it with my Ultra. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can improve upon it once I get an Axe FXII.

I used Lace Sensor Hot Gold Dually bridge pickup in single coil mode but any decent single coil with some quack outta work well. Patch is posted here for your enjoyment.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. This sounds really nice. Its always good to have a stable of sounds for when someone says 'lets do this song.'

this one is one of those elusive tones a la Boston that sounds simple enough but is in reality complex. Hope everyone enjoys it.

yep, elusive tone...the factory preset was WAY off, IMHO....too dirty & not enuf sparkle n shine.

I tweaked it pretty good - and added a lil' rotary I think.

Did you tweak my patch or the factory preset? I'd love to understand what the rotary is for. Was John Spinx known for using one in his signal chain?
