Test pedals online and real-time

Man, I’ve had this thought before, I’m super excited to see that it’s a reality now. I can only imagine the implications this has on the future of GAS.
 
Always wondered if someone would hook up gear to the web like this. You could upload a DI track, configure a remote preamp/FX unit, have it process it and send it back to you.
 
Not sure how this would work for pedals that rely upon the loading of the passive pickup circuit to help produce their unique tones, such as many fuzz pedals
