Tabletop controller with Axe-Fx II

Hey!

So, I am using the Axe Fx II in my noise act NATTSKRÄCK (nattskrack.bandcamp.com). As of now I am using Axe Edit to change settings and turn knobs both live and in the studio, but I figured there's gotta be a better way to do that.

Is there any nice tabletop midi controllers that work (or can be somewhat easily programmed to work) with the Axe Fx II?

I'd like to be able to map knobs and faders to different blocks and their respective controllers.

Ideas? :)

Love,
Adam aka NATTSKRÄCK

Wonder if you could get one of these to work?

I’m hoping to get the cheaper one before too long but I’m planning on using it for DAW control...not really sure if I’ll hook it up to the axe at all.

Can those send and receive custom MIDI SysEx commands?

Not really sure. They’re usb/midi so you wouldn’t be able to control an axefx/etc. from the descriptions it looks like most of it goes through a software editor for setup so I’m not really sure.

Edit: just reread the thread and realized I posted this as a suggestion for an axe controller when it only has usb...woops.

There are USB->MIDI host adapters.

I have always wondered if Fractal would consider making one based on Axe-Edit (or something like it) with a built in screen and a bunch of contextual knobs.
