Wouldn't it be easiest if the sequencer would reflect the unit/parameter it controls, e.g. Hertz or "pitch" incase of the synth?
Of course this can lead to misunderstanding as well as the sequencer could be attached to multiple parameters with different units.
But that would be solvable imho - i.e. defaulting to % in those cases.
