Switches rough.

Used my FM9 at a rehearsal last night for the first time. The switches seem a little rough and maybe less responsive than I would like. I think I recall seeing people talk about lubricant for them that really smoothes them out.

Anyone have any tips?

Silicone lubricant. Any type of grease will attract dirt and dust.

“WD-40 Specialist® Silicone Lubricant safely lubricates, waterproofs and protects metal and non-metal surfaces such as rubber, plastic and vinyl. This formula dries fast and leaves a clear, non-staining film that doesn't stick or make a mess, so it won't attract dirt. This silicone lubricant spray is great for use on cables, pulleys, guide rails, valves, linkages, hinges, locks and more. Effective in-use temperatures ranging from -100° F to 500° F.”

This worked well for me. No extra dust problems. It did take a little bit for the grease to work it's way all around, but it's been a couple months now and the switches are still smooth as butter.

Same here. I think I did mine earlier this year (per Fractal's suggestion) and I've done around 30+ gigs (both outdoors & in) since then and my switches are feeling smooth & fab (fab = freaking awesome, bro).
