SV bass 1 vs 2? Different models?

Did a forum search and didn't find anything, nor did Yek's guide indicate what is the difference.
Anyone know, even roughly if these two are correspond to particular models ? different settings? I noticed 2 has much higher starting gain, maybe it's the passive pickup input?

The PDF dates from before the added models.

Is there a specific reason they kept the pre-ares model? I figure they would have just updated it to ares

Both versions are updated for Ares.

They are just different models.

Some people preferred the older one so it was added back.
