Sustain like Skynyrd

My band is covering "That Smell". Can anyone make recommendations on how to get sustain like the lead guitar in the intro?
It really doesn't sound like there's a lot of gain. I'm guessing being in the same room as the cranked speaker helped but that sustain is super long.

Yes I understand we covered it as well! A compressor may help. You can also sneak in another pick when it bends. I suspect he is in the room with a cranked amp. Sounds like good old power amp distortion.

Use the output compressor of the amp block.

Set it to feedback mode.

1-2 compression amount, leave the rest default. A little goes a long way on this setting.

It's perfect for a cleanish sound with balls and sustain.

When I read the title, I instantly thought of "moves like Jagger!" Yes, I know I'm warped!

barhrecords does have a great solution, though.
