Superior Drummer 3

I bought SD3 and I'm not a fan of the library either. I find it lacking in dynamics compared to the older kits. I've gone back to the roots sdx as my main kit.

George M actually recorded the SD3 library in phase, you can use a Ludwig kick with a floppy head and it's so well in phase you can use it for death metal without any EQ, the batter click is there, the lows are there, he moved out of the way of the 250Hz woof, they're all perfect.

Weak toms I completely agree, they never hit them hard enough, but great kicks, and the snares are super articulate. Use BFD3 if you need drum sounds of a real drummer giving them the beans!

Man, I am a Superior fan for life. SO many good libraries. Not only can you use the SD2 ones, but all of the EZ libraries as well. It's clear to me that different people have very different preferences, but for me SD3 is the only way I can imagine doing drums.
