In my stumbling through preset creation, I ended up making a patch that will likely be my go-to clean patch moving forward. I thought it would be interesting to share both here and on Axe-Change. The formula is simple enough (aren't many of the great ones as well?). It's primarily a Super Reverb with a Factory 4x10 cabinet. The secret sauce is the gain staging and the addition of Clark Kent's delicious IR 'TEH Shure SM57 A1.syx' (I hope he won't mind my reposting it here for ease of use). It also uses a very nice dimension chorus as an option. I find that the real magic on this patch happens at the 2 & 4 positions on my Suhr S2. Funk, 80's chorused clean, chimey - I think it does them all well. You be the judge.
Formula:
1 - Load the IR into user slot 97
2 - Load the patch (first cab uses a factory slot)
3 - Have fun!
