Struggling with Power Amp and Real Cab Tones

Hi guys,

I've had my Axe-FX II since March I've been getting some killer tones through monitors and headphones.

I seem to have hit a brick wall now I'm trying to play the Axe through a Matrix GT-1000 and a Neolight 2x12 cab.

Previously I had a Marshall JMP-1 and I can't get anything like the projecting punch in the guts sounds I got from my Marshall. All of the sounds I'm getting are weak and thin. Totally reminds me of Peavey Transtube from the 90's? I've also dug out my Marshall 1912 cabs and they suffer the same fate so it's not the Neolight.

I've read threads, watched videos etc about the resonant frequency and a few other EQ tips but nothing gets me remotely in the ballpark of the sound I'm after through a cab.

I've zeroed the preset and started with a basic cab and again the same weak, thin sound. Cab simulation is off, power amp sim is on. It gets even thinner if I turn off power amp sim.

Any tips or advice would be greatly received.

Thanks in advance
Mike
