String Choice: Ernie Ball or D'addario?

I was using GHS for like 30 years. The past 5 years or so I noticed the strings had kinks in them = poor quality in my opinion.
Then I tried a few different brands and ended up with Daddario. Various gauges to try out.
8.5-39 9-42 10-46 A balanced tension set. My favorite is 9-42.

Interesting...I have never seen that happen with GHS and I blow through a lot of sets. But, I will say every string mfg has quality issues - even D'Addario...
