Streets have no name?

Hi Guys..

Does anyone have a Streets Have No Name patch like the one in the Axe-Fx youtube videos, the one in the
preset bank is just a simple delay and I believe the original song has multiple.

Just wondered if anyone here has one.

Thanks In advance.

I believe there is another one on Axechange - Its fairly easy to mod the preset already in the Axe-fx. I used the "Bad" one and modified it for Streets.

Any chance you can throw it up there, I cant find one on the Axechange.

Thanks

There used to be a U2 collection, pre 6.0. Can't find it either. Actually it wasn't perfect, it was from 4.xx days if I'm not mistaken (I wasn't around then). There are a couple presets on axechange if you search by "U2" that do have more delays.

If you're talking about this youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjBD-8zFlBY I'd love to get a direct sound that gets that amp vibe. He uses a real AC30. I've been looking, but I haven't found what I'm looking for. Yet.

PM me if you want it... I think I have the one you're talking about... never actually tried it since I had only just gotten my Axe back then, but it's a collection of 11 patches, dated 2007 December 31st, from the user blackie1.

Check this :
http://www.amnesta.net/edge_delay/

Or just edit the actual single delay settings to have a 350ms + 531ms dual delay
The POD XT "streets" preset also works, although with different delay times. I don't have a POD anymore but I still have gearbox, I'll check and give you this settings asap :)

According to the experts you have 2 delays.
The problem is not on the first picking notes but on the rythm after.
You can find a lot of values that works for the picking introduction but doesn't make a good rythm.
I haven't found too what i'm looking for ;)

Is there someway we could somehow come together and create the perfect streets patch...

It is such an amazing guitar sound and should be part of everybodys patch library.

Make no mistake If I get close I will pass the patch on to you guys...

345ms with 25% feedback on one side, 460ms with 30 % feedback on the other side works too. That's what I used on a Boss GT8. Worked better for me than the 350ms + 531ms dual delay

FWIW,

The preset on the Axe-fx does essentially have 2 delays. It is a stereo delay w/ a ratio of 75%

So that yields a left delay of 501ms and a right delay of 376ms at the stock tempo I believe. Since it is linked to tap tempo those values will be dependent on the tempo you set. This is 100% consistent with the values Fremen gave, with less feedback.

The values of 531ms + 350ms would = a ratio of 66%

Man! I was trying to get the streets delay to sound good last night for 4 hours....

Still not right!!!

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I would try a mono delay set around 360ms. Adjust your modulation rate and depth to taste. I think Edge is using just one delay in this song although some may disagree. I have a clip on youtube using one delay set at this time. My username is mick3b1g on youtube

yes, 360 ms works, that's what I use with my Digitech GSP1101, which can't do dual delays.

AH!! Your that edge guy!!!!!!

Your U2 patchs were one of the reasons I bought the Axe, Excellent work mate, In fact I was listening to it last night where you switch from AIWIY into Streets and I could hear just the one delay (about 4 repeats I think) just before you start the riff.

I then started getting confused because everywhere I looked people mentioned 2 delays, but you had one?

I will try that tonight though.

Mick,

What ballpark settings are you using to get that incredible shimmer you achieve with the modulated delay? It is spectacular! ;)

I run a parallel chain with a multidelay(plexi shift) and a filter to tame the highs into a verb of choice . So its core sound then an offshoot for shimmer
