Stranger Things Season 4....

I’ve tried getting into this show probably 4x now and have seen the first 1-3 episodes at least 5x. I did this same thing with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul so I’m going to give it a go again as I don’t have a show I’m dying to watch when I get home right now (which isn’t a bad thing).

No shows to watch? Just in case, keeping the sci-fi mood, have you seen Humans, Counterpart or The Man in the High castle?

Was 3 the one that was supposed to be not so good? I am not sure if I have ever seen it. My gangster film pinnacle was Goodfellas (RIP Liotta). Godfather always was a little before my time.
Saw 3 and no not as good but worth a watch to complete it. Godfather 2 is considered one of the best movies ever made full stop. Add Casino to your list while you’re at it.

I like how the seasons start out spooky and progressively get more horror movie like...if it would've started out like seasons 3&4 I probably wouldn't have continued watching. Now I'm invested and have no choice. Lol. Although it was awesome they included a cameo with Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) in season 4. Ironic they go to see Freddy for help defeating the guy that kinda looks like Freddy 😂

Casino is great. The Godfather series has always kind of been in my rearview for no good reason. The Offer did a great job making me want to take another look at the series.

The conspiracy/military stuff interests me a lot less than the general wtf-is-this it started out as. Watched 1 and 2 at the time, made it about 20 mins into 3 so far. The notes here about killing kids didn't whet my appetite any either...

I LOVED Counterpart!!! Humans was pretty good but I can’t remember if I finished it because it started drifting for me towards the end. I haven’t seen Man In The High Castle yet, I think that’s another I started watching but never got into it enough, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about it, maybe I’ll give that a shot after Stranger Things.

Watched the 7 episodes, very entertaining. 2 more in July?
Is netflix trying to stem the bleeding by releasing early?

Don’t get me started on Obi-Wan! Ok too late. Overall I enjoyed it but some of the action scene choreography is so awful.. like old school bat man “Kapooow” level of cheese factor. Just terrible. That and the main Antagonist was cast really badly. She is awful in that role.

When an actor makes Hayden Christiansen look good; you know you're in trouble

Just saw the first episode of season 4. It was a complete nonsensical jumble of half-baked writing, inane new characters, worn out high school cliches, bad acting, and bad music that dominates the one-dimensional dialog. I don't know. I enjoyed the first three seasons, but I found myself not wanting to watch any more episodes from season 4. I really thought it sucked. What happened?

I can feel that. Some of the casting is questionable, too, what with 28 to 32 year olds playing High-Schoolers. ;)

I just remember it is entertainment and not an historically accurate documentary trying to win an Academy
Award.
