Strange white coating

Hello,
I have a strange issue:
the Axe works correctly and I have never had a problem,I noticed that the front panel,where are the knobs and the input,present a strange white coating that can't be cleaned.
Here is a photo.
What can it be,someone can help me?

I wouldnt worry too much about that. Maybe using a piece of cloth with a little alcohol, it wont tarnish the finish, and it wont dissolve the print. Looks like an oily residue.

Could be Anthrax Did you clean it with something abrasive or chemicals?

My Dad ordered a DeLorean in the early 80's that had the same problem.

Looks like either oxidation, or something didn't cure right. It may clean off, and it may return.

Is it in a humid environment? Do you play outside alot? Like what Sten said, it seems like Oxidation, alot like what you get on nickel pickups.

No I've never played outside,and it's not in a humid place,to me it seems oxidation.I'll try to clean it later.
