Not a Bug Strange USB behavior & Not Connecting to FM3-Edit

My new FM3 appears to be having similar problems when connected to my Mac via USB. I shut off the FM3 and got a pile of noise out of the headphones until I unplugged the USB cable. If I plug the USB cable into the Mac without powering the FM3 on first I get a lit up screen and lights on the FM3. If I turn the FM3 on in this state it doesn’t boot properly at least some of the time. Does my FM3 need to repaired? I can get give more detailed repro steps if needed.

EDIT: Seems like my case may just be like the OP's case. I can't get the FM3 to connect to the Mac anymore after this happened.

Same issue there, FM3 not powered and leds remain on and main screen all white. FAN turning on and USB no more connecting to my iMac. Did several reboot but nothing work USB is no more functionnal. I contacted the support and waiting for feedback.
