stereo cab question

I think i know what this answer is going to be but does anyone know of a way to control a stereo cab with a scene controller so that you can basically have two ir's loaded at the same but use one for say clean and one for high gain?

I realize there is the x/y switching option but my issue with that is the noticeable audio gap.
