AFIII Starwards Eastern Noodling

Nice; I enjoyed listening. (Pictures were nice too, though I'm concerned about that roadway.)
It got repaved (finally) a few years back. The place where the water goes over the road frequently floods like that after a good rain.

The lake is Canyon Lake, and the flooded road is just past Tortilla Flat.

Ah; outside Phoenix. Last time I was in that part of the world was the late 70's. Hope to travel out that way again sometime soon.
It's changed a bit since then.

They finally finished I-10 in 1989, completing the last stretch of the original Eisenhower interstate highway plans.

The gaps of farmland between cities in the valley are pretty much all gone.

McKellips road between Mesa and Scottsdale is still built directly across the bottom of the Salt River, though, and is closed whenever they turn the river on.
