Starship SN8

After the first batch or two where they fixed the issue of the satellites being reflective and visible, I don’t think there is much of an issue anymore. I’ve tried to spot the “trains” and you just can’t see the new ones.

additionally, who said they will be there for eternity ? They have a useful life and are designed to take themselves out of orbit when that period is over.

Not the first invention ‘tested to destruction” but still good to see they got the data they were looking for in the test. That’s a success, even if the landing constituted a RUD.

Pieces should be showing up on EBay momentarily...

I'm not trying to start a conspiracy here. I just thought the video "jumped" at the end. (like someone spliced two videos together at the last second)

Yeah, i don't know how anyone could take issue with Elon or Space X.

Well, I like how Space X opens again the way to space. But I don‘t want space tourists contaminating planets. Building rockets is cool, as long as they are used by the right people.

Also Space X is one of the few Musk companies thats not total bs in my opinion (Hyperloop, Boring company, .. oh boy).

Maybe due to a change in brightness and auto exposure time during the explosion ? Digital camera sensors read out line by line so you can get some weird artifacts or “jello cam” with fast movements, changing light etc ?
I think there was enough independent videos to rule out anything covert being done with the footage as what would be the point ?

There's a subject for space observation from earth with all this matter turning round (In addition to what there already is up there btw). Also out of orbit means not out of space nor out of view.
If they'd fall back to earth and burn in atmosphere it would be les annoying on the long long run, but I don't think they do.
All this objects flying around at 20000mph is slowly and becoming a real danger for human presence out there. Imagine a occupied space station receiving a "hammer" at 20000mph...
Further I'm surely not a space specialist...I grew up with the (great) images of the Apollo, F16, and the space shuttle and then lost all interest for that technology later on; although I built and delivered 2 shelters with all the aux equipment for Yahsat Anchor Stations in 2009 (satellite project) for the Emirates.

The LabPadre feed had no issues. I think that was an artifact of frame rate vs. overpressure propagating through the grain silo vs. atmospherics affecting the video in that other feed.

I noticed the same thing.

They cut to a different camera at the moment of landing, went from "track the rocket" camera to a "capture the landing pad" camera. So it did jump and there was a splice, but no conspiracy necessary :p

I'm sure you're right. That feed had multiple cameras and occasionally switched between them. You can see it at the liftoff also.

I suppose if china made it it wouldn't have exploded right?

Well, we wouldn't have heard about it, that's for sure. Governments, like corporations, never will admit that they f***ed up. But unlike corporations they have the full security apparatus of the state to enforce that covering up. Unless they are Big Tech of course, in which case covering things up becomes a lot easier.

and that's how you get the "brown sound" in the room
Nah...that'll be the first civilian passenger flight.

When that thing falls out of the sky and flips vertical to land at the last f-ing second in a raging inferno of thrust, there will definitely be a "brown sound" coming from all the passengers on the flight.
