I recently bought a EV-2 and it has a 100k pot in it. And my own knock up expression pedal has 10k, cause that's what was available at the time. The circuit I built to feed the expression pedal into the ADC port of the micro doesn't play well with both. It runs a few resistors to step the range of input voltage down to say 0-4v so I can detect a "unplugged port" at 5v. But with the higher resistant of the EV-2 the gap between unplugged and full value basically disappears.
So is 100k the standard or do people manage to make circuits that cope with a wide range of expression pot values?
